Kira Bailey is an animal-loving girl who fosters kittens with her mother and dreams of one day working with wildlife. When she travels to her family’s wildlife sanctuary in Australia—run by her great-aunts Mamie and Lynette—she throws herself into caring for and protecting the animals she adores. Kira is loyal, eager to learn, and endlessly prepared, though she can be anxious and stubborn, and she’s far better at planning ahead than thinking on her feet. With encouragement from a new friend, she slowly learns to be braver and to face the unknown.
