World by Us
The World by Us line, released in 2021, was inspired by continued public desire for brand and character diversity. American Girl’s goal was to have a line focused on more difficult topics, such as racism, current events in 2020, social justice, and environmental activism. The characters have intertwining, unique stories, and the characters are approximately thirteen years old.
Despite rumors they were going to add more characters to this line, by 2025, American Girl has completely phased it out and silently archived it. This is quite unfortunate, as most adult collectors of AG have loved having this line and would love to see it expanded.
