Saige Copeland is an imaginative, artistic girl who feels that creativity is simply hardwired into her. She shares her love of painting—and of horseback riding—with her grandmother, Mimi, and feels most free of all when she’s out riding her horse, Picasso. When Saige discovers that her school is cutting its art program, she’s determined to do something about it, even though speaking up in public overwhelms her. With her best friends Gabi and Tessa, she learns to find her voice and stand up for the things she cares about.
American Girl released a feature film, An American Girl: Saige Paints the Sky, in 2013.
