Summer McKinny is an enterprising girl—born on the first day of summer—who comes from a family of “makers and bakers” who love getting creative in the kitchen. Devoted to her dog, Crescent, Summer hatches a plan to become a dog walker, but her big ambitions quickly outpace what she can manage, and she takes on more dogs than she can handle. Passionate and determined, if a little stubborn, Summer has to learn to accept help, listen to advice, and own up when things don’t go according to plan.
